Understanding The Seven Seals of Revelation

“But you must understand the seven seals.”

“What, the seven–Is this is a circus? I’m with you. What? Seven seals. Right.”

“They hit the ball up their nose. Seven of them. I saw it when I was a kid. I don’t understand it.”

–Bill Hicks

Jokes aside, there is a lot of confusion amongst fellow Christians regarding End Times prophecy. Much of this confusion is self-imposed, however, since folks have an unfortunate tendency to willingly take Scripture out of context, twist it, or outright ignore certain portions in order to make it fit their particular viewpoint.

One of the biggest areas of confusion I’ve seen is in regards to the seven seals of Revelation.

Before I delve into the what, when, and why of the seals, I first want to mention that the biggest issue most people have with them is failing to keep them in numerical order. Folks, God didn’t number these things for His own personal amusement. They’re numbered because there is a particular sequence of events that have unfolded, and will continue to unfold, in our immediate future. Our God is a God of order (1 Corinthians 14:33), and if you willfully screw with His order, then you deserve to stumble around in confusion.

When the Tribulation occurs under the seventh seal, with the blowing of the first angelic trumpet, please don’t try to stick it under the sixth seal.

When an event occurs long after the Tribulation is over (I’m looking at you, Gog Magog), please don’t try to stick it under the second seal.

When the Antichrist only makes his appearance under the seventh seal, after the sixth angelic trumpet is blown, please don’t try to stick him under the first seal.

Get it?

With that out of the way, let’s examine the seals themselves:

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”

“And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?”

“And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.”

“And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

(Revelation 5:1-5)

OK, so here’s what we know so far–God is holding a book in His right hand, sealed with seven seals, and only the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Lord Jesus Christ Himself, is worthy to unseal it.

What is the book that’s being unsealed?

I’ve heard several half-baked theories bandied about, from a “deed of redemption” to the “title deed of planet earth”. These run-around explanations are good examples of the kind of malarkey you’ll get from teachers who, rather than have to guts to simply admit they don’t know, come up with a bunch of BS to dazzle their readers with.

Folks, what is the only book throughout the entire Bible that was ever sealed?

The Book of Daniel.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”

(Daniel 12:4, 9)

Incidentally, it was a pre-incarnate Jesus Christ (Daniel 10:5, 6) who sealed it the book the first place, of course, only He is worthy to unseal it.

Why Daniel? His book is the foundation of Biblical prophecy. To understand it, is to understand Revelation. Sadly, there’s a lot of misunderstanding about the Book of Daniel making the rounds as well, but that’s for another time…

So, Revelation is the unsealing of the Book of Daniel–a revealing of the prophecies contained therein, given to Daniel by Jesus Himself. The more seals that are unsealed, the more the previously sealed knowledge of these revelations will be unsealed and revealed to us, just as Lord Jesus commanded. This will continue up to the point where the final angel sounds his trumpet, signaling the end of the Tribulation. When that day comes, when the 70 Weeks, Rapture, Tribulation, etc. will have been fulfilled, the “Mystery of God” fully revealed (Revelation 10:7).

  1. Very good study brother. It opened my eyes on the subject. So are the seals( this book) in our physical plain or with God? What knowledge do they possess?

    • Thank Jesus, this is all His work laid out for us.

The seals, the book, are in Heaven with Jesus as they are being unsealed. As each seal is removed, the better we are supposed to understand the prophecies contained within Daniel, and by extension, the Book of Revelation.

As of now, in this temporary realm, we are living in-between the fifth and sixth seal. The rest have already been opened, starting with Jesus Himself. As Jesus commanded, He wanted the understanding of the prophecies sealed up until the time of the end. As Jesus is the only one who can unseal them, He’s been doing so since the 1st century, thereby allowing our knowledge and understanding to increase.

I will go into greater detail in the next post…

    • That’s right, Gabriel first appeared to Daniel to show him a future vision of the Antichrist (chapter 8) as well as deliver the 70 Weeks prophecy that foretold of Jesus’ first coming, and also foretells of His second coming (chapter 9).

Chapter 10 has an entirely different individual… a pre-incarnate Jesus Christ. You can tell by His description and the way Daniel reacts to His presence (Daniel 10:4, 9). Also note where they meet: the river Heddekel, AKA the Trigris River, which flows to the EAST (Ezekiel 43:2-4; 44: 1-2; Luke 19:28-45).

Jesus Himself provides a load of information based on what Gabriel previously provided: the identity of the Antichrist and what he will accomplish in the end times, mention of the Rapture, the actual length of the Tribulation, and the command to seal up this knowledge until the end.

  2. Is Jesus Christ the archangel Michael like some believe? I’ve asked so many people I can’t get a straight answer. I found some passages in revelations and such that hinted at it.

    • Nope. Two different individuals entirely.

Jesus is God, the Son, the second Person of the Trinity.

      Michael is an archangel.

Any teaching that tries to pass one off as the other is plain and simple heresy. This belief has its roots in Ariansism, a crap teaching that the early Christians had to contend with. It flat out denies Jesus is God and has been perpetuated recently by the early Adventists and the Jehovah’s Witness cult promotes this heresy to this day.

Here’s what the Bible says in regards to Jesus and angels:

“For to which of the angels did He ever say, ‘Thou art My Son, today I have begotten thee?'” Hebrews 1:5

“But of the Son He says, ‘Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever…'” Hebrews 1:8

“But to which of the angels has He ever said, ‘Sit at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet?’ Are they [the angels] not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:13-14

Pretty clear cut and dry that Jesus has never been, is not, and never will be an angel or archangel.

Michael the archangel gets a mention five times in the Bible (Daniel 10:13,21; 12:1; Jude 9; Revelation 12:7). Not a single one of these passages indicate that he is Jesus Christ–pre-incarnate, ascended, or otherwise.

Some proponents of this heresy may try to quote 1st Thessalonians 4:16: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”

Obviously, these people cannot read or only read the parts they WANT to believe, because the verse clearly indicates Jesus will be ACCOMPANIED BY the voice of an archangel during the Rapture, not that he actually is that archangel.

Sorry if I come off a bit strong here. I’m not at all angry at you. My anger is directed at this damnable false teaching that keeps rearing its ugly head, sowing confusion amongst believers and non-believers alike.

It’s Satanic to the core is what it is.

      • No I understand. Its been a question I’ve had. Ive done a bit of studying into the occult myself to find what false teachings found there way into Christianity. I enjoy how passionate you are with Gods word its refreshing. I’m somewhat new to the faith even tho I was born into a baptist family it was never my faith and the teachings I thought I knew I never truly did. God has been working on my heart lately and giving me a true appreciation of creation and the sorrow that I feel that God will take it away for the future generations with unfolding prophecy. I never new or could comprehend how close God is to his creation till now. God bless you for these posts. I grow in my faith along with every word.

  3. What’s your opinion about this 4 blood moon tetrad that christian scholars and fox news has been talking about?

    • There may be some prophetic significance to these eclipses. It wouldn’t be the first time a series of four lunar eclipses coincided with important events.

Lunar eclipses coincided with the Jews being kicked out of Spain, the creation of the State of Israel and the First Arab-Israeli War, and also the Six-Day War.

That said, they won’t have anything to do with Rapture–specifically, the sun turning black and the moon turning blood red. The text implies either them changing simultaneously or one immediately right after the other. That’s not an eclipse. Rather, the signs in the sun and the moon that signal the Rapture will be supernatural transformations.

  4. Thank you for clearing that up for me. I feel the same way .there has to be some significants its to coincidental that they fall on passover and the feast of the tabernacle. Perhaps this signals another Arab isreali war the one that Daniel prophesied? There have been 2 already and history seems to work in threes meaning completion. Would the next isreali war be the last before the rapture?

    • The war of Gog Magog doesn’t happen until the end of the Millennium for another 1,000 years.

A lot of people think the Psalm 83 war has a future fulfillment. It’s already happened. Though a lot of prophesies concerning the End Times have more than one fulfillment, I don’t think the Psalm 83 war is one of them.

The Amalek and Philistines are mentioned in this prophecy and they no longer exist.

The only thing left is the coming invasion of Israel by Antichrist (Zechariah 12:2,3; 14:1,2; Revelation 11:7,8). That should happen shortly after the Church is Raptured out.

  5. So a lot of the things we think that still have to be fulfilled have already happened. What other events need to take place after the rapture? Or is there? Where does the Antichrist come from? I’ve heard many beliefs on the subject even one of the spirits inside of Caligula and Nero and such are all suppose to embody themselves in one man.it seemed to me even hearing some of the things that these emperors did scream demonic possession. and does the whore of Babylon exist now? Or is it that Babylon isn’t a physical place but a spirit of promiscuity brought to all the nations by media and entertainment.

    • After the Rapture the144,000 Hebrew believers are sealed by God (Revelation 7:1-8) and the Two Witnesses appear in Jerusalem and begin preaching (Revelation 11:1-6).

      There is also judgement:

Nuclear war where one third of the earth is incinerated (Revelation 8:7, 8, 12). This destroys crops, plant life, and sea life (Revelation 8:8,9). There will be food shortages and most water will be contaminated (Revelation 8:10,11). The hours of daylight are also reduced (Revelation 8:12; Matthew 24:22).

Revelation 9:1-11 speaks of a five month long demonic invasion.

Revelation 9:13-19 mentions a WMD attack launched from the Euphrates region that wipes out a third of mankind.

The Antichrist comes from hell itself (Revelation 17:8). This verse says the Antichrist “was, is not, yet will ascend from the bottomless pit (hell)”. In other words, this guy existed before John wrote Revelation, was dead by the time of his writing, but will come back, from hell itself, in the future.

He will be a recognizable figure from history, resurrected from the dead, and fully capable of proving his identity.

Revelation 17:10 further says that he is a king. It also says that five kings are fallen, one is, and the other has yet to come.

Since Revelation is the unsealing of the Book of Daniel, the kings in question here are the succession of empires of Biblical significance, past, present, and future.

Five are fallen–Egypt, Assyria, then the kingdoms from Daniel–Babylon, Media-Persia, and Greece.

“One is”–this is Rome which was still around when this was written in 1st century AD.

One is yet to come–the kingdom of Antichrist in our time.

Revelation 17:10,11 further says that Antichrist is of the seven, and is also an eighth king. This part is a bit confusing, but what it is saying is that the Antichrist has ruled before as a king, or kings, from the past.

In other words, he has multiple incarnations.

The Antichrist is Alexander the Great. The Book of Daniel identifies him as such. Read chapters 8, and 10-12 and pay close attention to what Gabriel and Jesus say whenever they are discussing Alexander and his dynasty: the primary application for these prophecies regarding this king are for the “time of the end” or “latter days” (Daniel 8:17,19,26; 10:4).

Also pay close attention to Daniel 11:28 when Jesus says the king returns to his land at the time appointed. He is no longer talking about the king of the north or the king of the south here, but THE king, the guy who was originally in charge of it all (Alexander).

The whore of Babylon does indeed still exist.

It is the city of Rome–the city that reigns over the kings of the earth (Revelation 17:18). When John wrote that, Rome was the only city that fits the description at that time.

Rome is referred to as a Mystery Babylon, or symbolic of that city. The original Babylon is gone and won’t be coming back (Isaiah 13:19-22; Jeremiah 25:12).

Both were epicenters for large empires, both were also headquarters for pagan worship, but worst of all–both empires destroyed Jerusalem, its temple, and enslaved the Jews.

Babylon has since paid the price. During the Tribulation, Rome will likewise pay. Ironically, it will be destroyed by the Antichrist and his ten-kings who will unwittingly be doing God’s will by nuking the place (Revelation 17:16,17).

At some point in the future, Rome will be destroyed, never to be rebuilt… just like the original Babylon before it (Revelation 17:16-18; 18:8,16-24; 19:1-3).

      • Thank you for all that info brother. I will look up your references. I having gotten this much knowledge from any church I’ve gone too. I guess it does make sence it would be Alexander the great. I thought that dead king coming back would have been Hitler. Do you think this golden dawn party and the turmoil in Greece now will make this figure appear from there then any day now?

      • The scary thing about Alexander is that he is still admired by Jews to this day.

Back in the day, he treated them with kindness and respect–as detailed by Flavius Josephus, he bowed before the high priest, allowed them to live according to their own laws and customs, exonerated them from paying tribute every 7th year, and offered favors to Jews still living in Babylon and Media.

This behavior shocked Alexander’s own men who thought he had lost his mind.

The Jews rejoiced, praised Alexander, and many joined his army when presented with the opportunity.

It’s no wonder Matthew 24:24 clearly states that the Antichrist will be able to deceive even the elect (Jews).

If the Antichrist were Hitler, or some revived Roman emperor, the Jews would run from the sight of his ugly face.

Satan is going to send the guy who gained their trust. They’d best watch out though because Jesus is clear in Daniel 11:29 that Alexander’s “latter coming will not be as the former”.

He’s not going to be so nice this time around.

With the lousy economic situation in Greece, it’s interesting that Jesus points out that Alexander will return to his land with great riches (Daniel 11:28). How convenient.

It was customary for kings to be buried with wealth and treasures in those days. Perhaps he brings some back with him from his tomb? Scripture also points out that a large chunk of that wealth will come from Egypt–the king of the south (Daniel 11:40,42,43).

Egypt’s got wealth, artifacts, as well as modern resources such as petroleum and natural gases which may be scarce by the time Alexander rises from the dead.

As for groups like the Golden Dawn, sad to say, I think folks like that would be willing recruits for Alex’s multinational army, as would many other Greek citizens.

  6. That’s some interesting history about Alexander the great and the Jews. Another thing that caught my eye was his lust for men. Most bible scholars believe the Antichrist will be a lover of the same sex. In the movie that came out Alexander the great it was widely pressed that he had a male lover and was a cross dresser. He only married a women to secure a heir after being pushed by his people . And even then they weren’t happy because he chose one that wasn’t Greek. If that’s true do you think he chose this women for any significants if he is the Antichrist. Surely he must have known he was and is the Antichrist? Is there anything in the bible that might shed some light on if he knew before his death? What is the mark of loyalty does the bible say he will choose?I’ve heard a lot of thoughts on it but every christian I ask can’t give me a straight answer most say a tattoo or biometric chip.I never thought he was sane in the first place it would be very scary to see how violent and evil he will go for the people left on earth. Isn’t there a verse in revelations that points to his treatment of devout Jews when God calls there synagogues synagogues of Satan? That itself I would think points to his treatment of Jews and there customs in the future.

    • While it’s true Alexander had homosexual tendencies, the Bible actually doesn’t say anything regarding that.

The rundown given in Daniel 11:37 concerns Antichrist’s religion:

It says he won’t regard the gods of his ancestors (the Greek pantheon)…

Nor the “desire of women”, or the Messiah, as in the desire of Jewish women to be the one to bear Him.

Nor any other god, for he will magnify himself above all.

The context here is all about how the Antichrist views himself compared to the one true God, Jesus the Messiah, as well as all the phony gods out there–he thinks he is number one. It wouldn’t make much sense to talk about gods, then sexual preferences, then back to talking about gods again.

Alexander knows his destiny and tried to play it out the last time he was here. Genesis 3:15 speaks of enmity between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed. The “woman’s seed” is Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The serpent’s seed is Antichrist.

Alexander actually believed himself to be God, with a capital G. Others believed it too as they worshiped him even after his death. Especially when his body would not decompose afterwards. As foretold in Isaiah 14:19, his body is now “missing” after being cast out of its grave, hence why he comes up out of hell itself during Tribulation. Apparently that’s where it is right now.

What really convinced him of his godlike status was when his mother told him that Phillip was not his real father, rather Zeus impregnated her in the form of a snake (refer to Genesis 3:15). Zechariah 9:6 indeed refers to him as a “bastard”–mamzer in Hebrew, or a hybird of mixed origins.

Alexander’s dream was to unite the entire world under his reign and he tried to set up his capital in Babylon. He also wanted to rebuild the temple (Tower of Babel) and institute a uniform language (Greek). Sound familiar?

Too bad for him that God said that Babylon would see gradual decay and desolation and would never be rebuilt (Isaiah 13:19-22; Jeremiah 25:12).

As for the Mark of the Beast, the Bible says Antichrist followers can qualify with three different forms–the mark, his name, or the number of his name. This automatically rules out a uniform, cashless system.

Mark, or charagma in Greek, means a literal mark–a tattoo or branding or something along those lines. Nothing about implants or the like. Considering the level of destruction the world goes through–nuclear war, WMD attacks, earthquakes that will literally change the face of the earth–I seriously doubt there will be any microchips involved as the technology to implement them may become scarce or even lost altogether.

It may be possible in an already technologically advanced society like the United States or the EU maybe… it all depends on what is left or what can be salvaged.

Also, the Antichrist only has 3 1/2 or 42 months to reign. The time and wealth needed to implement such a system simply won’t be available especially while God is pouring out His wrath on their heads.

I personally think the odds are against any microchip system.

Lastly, for the treatment of Jews, Daniel 11:30,32 says he will favor those who forsake the holy covenant, as in the Abrahamic Covenant strengthened with the Blood of Christ (Daniel 9:27; Galatians 3:16,17).

Those who “know their God” will resist him. This should become evident when he seizes the third temple and declares himself God (2 Thessalonians 2:4) and then sets up the Abomination of Desolation, which will basically be a statue or image of himself that will be brought to life somehow by the False Prophet (Matthew 24:15; Revelation 13:14,15).

As an indicator of how the Antichrist feels about Jewish customs, the first Abomination of Desolation in history happened around 165 BC when Antiochus Epiphanes put a statue of himself in the second temple and ordered the sacrifices of pigs–unclean animals.

History repeats itself. The Antichrist will do pretty much the same, only his statue will somehow be brought to life and be able to speak.

  7. I’ve always been a serious studier of history this is seriously blowing my mind. I didn’t know this is going to be his second time to try. So when Christians think that they will have to live thru 6 and a half years or so that’s not the case all they gotta do is live for 3 before Christ’s return? It totally fills in the gaps for me about end times because a lot of it has already taken place in the past. His body didn’t decay? Where is it suppose to be now? Is there a reason that Christians don’t believe pigs are unholy creatures if the devil uses them in such a manner? I don’t remember seeing a passage in the bible that looks down on them . Or is it just the sacrifice of a animal in the temple unholy because Jesus already payed the price for us and sacrilege.

    • Christians will only have to endure ten days of Tribulation (Revelation 2:10) before we are Raptured out of here under the opening of the sixth seal.

Yeah, seals one through five have already been opened.

The first seal was Jesus Christ, the Living Word, going forth “conquering and to conquer”. The Gospel would prevail against the Roman Empire.

The second seal was a period of constant wars that brought about the collapse of empires, specifically the Western half of the Roman Empire.

The third seal was the Dark Ages, with feudal embargoes and price control as prophesied.

The fourth seal was the Black Death, which killed a fourth of the population as foretold. It also makes mention that “the beasts of the earth” would have a part in the killing as well, appropriate since the plague itself was caused by rat fleas.

All these horsemen, or events, were milestones in Church history, for better or worse, each lasting roughly four centuries each. Remember, the entire discourse from the beginning of Revelation up until the opening of the sixth seal is all about the Church.

The fifth seal has the souls of martyrs underneath the altar crying out for justice. They are given robes and basically told to be patient–justice would be served once particular number of martyrs–known only to God–is fulfilled.

In other words, the more Christian martyrs there are, the closer we get to the Rapture and Tribulation.

The Tribulation judgments don’t begin until the opening of the seventh seal and that includes the appearance of the Antichrist.

The ten days the Church will have to endure will include witnessing the sun turn black and the moon turn blood red. There will also be a giant quaking of the entire earth and atmosphere. There will also be what sounds like a meteor shower. The finally the sky will split into two, roll up like a scroll, and Jesus Himself will appear in the clouds to come for His Church. The dead in Christ will rise first, so don’t be surprised if you see any dead loved ones who are saved running around during this time. Then we will all go up together to meet Jesus in the air (Isaiah 13:10; Joel 2:10-11,31; Matthew 24:29; Revelation 6:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

      • A word of warning: these ten days won’t be pretty.

Imagine the sun being blotted out or the moon turning blood red (not rust colored, but literally deep, dark crimson like blood)… there’s no light, the entire earth starts shaking, even the air. Power and plumbing will probably be knocked out. People will most certainly freak out.

We are told that “every mountain and island were moved out of their places” (Revelation 6:14). Isaiah speaks of the earth’s axis tilting, which will cause the earth’s land masses to shift and change place (Isaiah 2:21; 24:1, 18-20). Chances are, they will become amalgamated as they were in the beginning. Genesis 10:25 explains that the earth was divided, and Acts 3:21 promises the “restoration of all things”, which would include the earth becoming whole again.

We’re going back to the days of Pangea. This is probably why you don’t hear any true end time prophecies concerning either the United States, Russia, or China as they’ll probably destroy each other much easier without miles of ocean separating them (see Revelation 8). It would also allow other countries like Iran and especially Syria to join in on the fun as well (see Revelation 9:14-19). That and once the Antichrist arrives, he’ll be able to get around easier to take control of what’s left.

What I’m saying is: prepare. God put this info out for a reason. Don’t freak out, just keep a week’s supply of canned food, extra bottled water, first aid kit, hand sanitizer or wipes, a portable stove, etc–stuff that you would keep for a basic emergency as if a bad storm was rolling through.

  8. No, Alexander’s body didn’t decompose, even after being left in a hot, airless room for several days while preparing for burial. It ended up in a gold coffin but eventually disappeared. To this day, nobody knows where he is. As foretold in Isaiah 14:19 he was cast out of his grave.

Revelation 17:8 tells us he will ascend from hell itself so that must be where he’s waiting. Incidentally, the entrance to hell lies in the sea–the Mediterranean Sea to be specific–according to Ezekiel 28:8 and Luke 8:31. So when Revelation 13:1 tells us the Antichrist rises up out of sea, it’s not being symbolic… he will literally rise up out the sea, summoned and resurrected by Satan himself.

You can find stuff about pigs in Deuteronomy 14 and Leviticus 11, specifically Leviticus 11:7: “… and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.” It’s all moot now because we are no longer under the law of Moses, rather we are under the grace of the New Testament. Jesus has fulfilled the law on our behalf.

Back in 165 BC, the Jews were still under the law, however, and what Antiochus did was the final straw after he had slaughtered them, burned Torah scrolls, and forbade them from practicing their customs.

Jesus’ warnings about the Abomination of Desolation that the Antichrist will bring were to Daniel and the disciples, all Jews. By extension, it is a warning for any Jews who will be around to witness it. What he says in Matthew 24:15-21 is basically “when you see it, run for your lives!”

  9. Wow that’s very interesting! Why is it christian pastors don’t preach about this man if its this blatant that he is the evil one?

    • There are a few out there who understand, but not many.

There are a few who understand that the Antichrist is dead, but they come up with extra-biblical nonsense like the Antichrist will be a spirit who possesses a current world leader. For example, the spirit of Nero will possess Prince William or other such nonsense. There is nothing Scripture about the Antichrist possessing anybody. In fact, it says clearly says that people will recognize this guy as one who was dead, and yet is alive (Revelation 17:8).

The majority of people however just overlook that portion of Scripture that says plain as day that the Antichrist is dead and will rise from hell itself.

So those people waste time worrying about living leaders like President Obama or Prince Harry. I guess they’ve also watched the Omen one too many times because they seem to be under the impression that the way is being prepared for the Antichrist who will be some great political figure.

The way is not being paved for him, and he is not a mere political figure but rather an ancient, resurrected warlord. When he rises, the world will be largely devastated by God’s judgment. He simply takes control of what’s left of it and people turn to him not out of Machiavellian machinations but rather desperation–they’re looking for someone who can lead them in war against Christ, hoping to thwart his Eternal Kingdom on Earth.

So when these wicked people see Alexander, the greatest military leader this world has ever seen, risen from the dead, speaking out against the Holy Covenant, calling himself God, etc., they’ll think they’ve found their man. Honestly, they’ll be right–God’s going to give them what their wicked heart desires.

Too bad for them it’s only for a short time and in the end they, along with their king Alex, will lose… badly.

    • I don’t know if anybody but Satan actually gets to see him rise from the sea, but the first human eyes that will spot him will probably be the Greeks as Scripture says one of the first things he does is “return to his own land”.

Alexander does eventually attract some attention because Scripture mentions that Egypt (the king of the south) and Syria/Turkey (the king of the north) will come at him. He overcomes them and even takes Iraq and Libya (Daniel 11:40-44).

At some point he will also conquer modern Persia, or Iran, just like he did thousands of years ago (Daniel 8).

Finally he will conquer Jerusalem and eventually whatever is left of the rest of the world (Zechariah 12:2,3; 14:1,2; Revelation 11:7,8; 13:5-7).

Alexander left a ton of paintings and sculptures which were very accurate portrayals of his appearance–especially the sculptures. He should have no problem proving his identity. That and he’ll also be wielding a lot more supernatural power this time around as well (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

  10. Is there a reason a lot of non believers believe in aliens? Is something suppose to happen in the end times that refers to alien beings or is it something else entirely?

    • Nothing in Scripture about aliens or an alien invasion or the like, though there are some believers who speculate that the Antichrist will be an alien.

There is nothing in Scripture to support that.

The UFO phenomenon is a big business. People out there want to believe this stuff and there’s no shortage of folks willing to sate their appetites with tall tales and sensationalist hooey.

Personally, I think a lot of UFOs are either one of two things:

      1. Experimental military or other unidentifiable aircraft

      2. Fleeting glimpses of extra-terrestrials. No, not little green men, but extra-terrestrials as in angels, both good and bad.

It is also possible that some of these sightings could be attributed to demons, which are, or should I say were, Pre-Adamic terrestrial beings who now roam the earth as spirits.

  11. How does Alexander come into power? Is he elected? So basicly all his former enemies will wage a war on him. What do you think could cause a war that massive to start pointed toward the Greeks. It would be interesting to see how even with all the treasures that could be in his grave he could fund a campaign that massive. Will his mother have anything to do with the second time around? Some people believe she is the third part of his trinity. With zues aka the devil and Alexander also who called himself apollo the sun God as part of this unholy trinity.

    • The Rapture occurs in Revelation 6 under the opening of the sixth seal. Jesus appears in the clouds when He comes for His Church, and everybody on earth will see Him (Luke 21:27; Revelation 1:7,6:15,16). In fact, we are told that many people will run and hide at the sight of Him, wishing for the death in the face of the judgements they know damn well are about to fall on them (Revelation 6:15-17).

Revelation chapters 8 through 9 show us that the world will be virtually devastated by God’s judgement.

Revelation 17:12-14 details the Antichrist Alexander’s rise to power… there will be ten kings who hold power before him.

These guys will gleefully abdicate their power and give it over to Alexander (Revelation 13:1; 17:12,13,17).

Scripture is clear that these guys will do this because, as Revelation 17:13 states, they “have one mind”. The next verse quickly explains the common goal that brings these 10 kings together–“they shall make war with the Lamb”.

In other words, these guys are so dead set against Christ, they have chosen to ally themselves with this resurrected supernatural ruler in the hopes that he can lead them to victory against the Eternal Kingdom (Psalms 2:1-3,8-12).

This is why Jerusalem is so important to them strategically. They know Jesus will return there to set up His Kingdom (Zechariah 12:2,3; 12:3,14:2). Basically, they seize and hold Jerusalem in the hopes of setting up an ambush for the returning Christ.

Needless to say, it doesn’t end well for them (Revelation 19).

As for the ten kings themselves, Daniel 7:24 reveals that they come from territories that comprised the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire was split into two sectors–an Eastern and Western division. Within each sector were 13 administrations–6 from the West, 7 from the East.

Daniel 2:40-44 reveals that the Antichrist’s ten kings will come from these territories, five from the Eastern Division, and five from the Western Division. Two feet, five toes on each foot as the statue imagery represents.

This part confuses a lot of people because when Scripture speaks of three kings being uprooted (Daniel 7:8), they assume the ten kings are reduced in number.

Nowhere in Scripture does it say the ten kings are knocked down to seven. All ten of them will be “overcome” by Christ at Armageddon (Revelation 17:14).

What Scripture is saying is that of the 13 territories that comprised the former Roman Empire, three kings will be removed, leaving ten. The three who will be removed are Egypt, “the east” [Israel/Syria/Lebanon], and Rome (Daniel 11:41-43; Zechariah 14:1-4; Revelation 17:15-18).

Lastly regarding the ten kings, they are not restricted to the European Union. While a lot of them will probably come from territories associated with the EU, many of the kings will also come from the Middle East and parts of Africa as well. They’re going to be a diverse bunch (Daniel 2:33-35, 40-44).

As for Alexander’s mother Olympias, there’s no mention of her making a comeback.

There is however an unholy Trinity of sorts with the dragon Satan, Alexander, his bastard son the Antichrist, and a False Prophet who will promote Alexander.

Although Scripture doesn’t quite come right out and reveal the False Prophet’s identity like it does with the Antichrist/Alexander, there are clues that Judas Iscariot will be the False Prophet, also resurrected by Satan.

Unlike the Antichrist, he rises from the land–or “Israel”–which is where his remains were buried. We are also told the False Prophet looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon. In other words, he appears as a follower of Christ, but delivers a Satanic message.

We know that the False Prophet will serve as a finance minister of sorts as he will be the one to set up the Beast system (Revelation 13:16,17). Handling money is right up Judas’ alley (John 12:6).

Acts 1:20 (quoting Psalm 69:25) tells us that Judas’ grave, like Alexander’s (Isaiah 14:19,20) will be empty.

Peter also quoted Psalm 109 in reference to Judas where there is indication that he will arise, have a “wicked man” over him, have Satan sitting at his right hand, and his days will be few.

Revelation 13:13 speaks of the False Prophet bringing fire down from heaven. Compare with Luke 9:54–clearly this was ability the disciples possessed.

Zechariah 11:11-17 also speaks of Judas and his future role as well, calling him an “idol shepherd” who leaves the flock, which is exactly what Judas will do when he leads the world in worship of Alexander.

    • None.

There are, however, a few Biblical references to the way he died.

We know Judas attempted suicide by hanging (Matthew 27:5), but are also later told by Peter that he ended up dying by falling headfirst and splitting open, causing his guts to gush out into the ground (Acts 1:18).

Put it all together, and basically what happened was Judas tried to hang himself and at some point the rope or maybe the branch broke or whatever, and he fell headfirst into the ground where his body split open and his intestines poured out into the earth.

When the Jews heard about this they christened the field Akeldama, or “Field of Blood” (Acts 1:19).

As I said before, Peter references Psalm 109 in regards to Judas. Psalm 109:18 says:

“As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.”

This verse will be fulfilled when Satan raises Judas from the ground, the “Field of Blood” in Israel where the betrayer’s guts spilled like water into the ground (Revelation 13:11).

  12. We need as in christian need to get back in our roots we need to study the old teachings again of the first century apostles. We aren’t spiritually capable to do battle with the Antichrist or false prophet or hell on earth for that matter. There are to few people that know the truth and stand by it to go to for guidance to mature in the faith for people my age. I feel if everyone decided believing wasn’t enough but studying why we believe what we believe to find the truth of it we would find that our faith isn’t what we think and the doctrines we hold so close now are nothing more than sinking sand that doesn’t hold water. Churches in the first century were run differently than now. What do you believe about the nicene creed and the trinity? I don’t remember seeing anything in the bible that says straight out there that Jesus is God. From what I’ve read the trinity is God,the son of God (Jesus), and the holy spirit. I was always taught that they were seperate beings not three in 1. Am I wrong? How is it that Jesus gives the holy spirit to his desciples but the Antichrist has a false prophet as a part of his trinity? Wouldn’t the third part of the antichrists trinity be the opposite of the holy spirit? Or was john the baptist yashuas prophet? and part of the trinity.

    • Yes, it is indeed a mess.

There’s no solid doctrine or foundation–too many Christians willingly seek out the next big thing be it some phoney preacher with a gimmick, give-to-get prosperity messages, conspiracy theories, false teachings… the list goes on.

It’s no wonder so many of them are confused on the fundamental tenets of Christianity, especially when it comes to salvation.

The Trinity is one of the most difficult tenets to understand. Though we may be saved, our minds are still carnal and corrupt and have difficulty understanding things of God… to the point of balking at this (1 Corinthians 2;14; 2 Corinthians 10:5). Even I have trouble wrapping my brain around this concept.

It helps to think of one God who has three different major manifestations–Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:1 identifies God using the Hebrew word elohim, which denotes plurality within that one God.

Another example is to think of a collective noun, like family. One family, but it’s made up of mother, father, son, daughter, etc.

Or even the United States Army which is one army, yet is made up of different branches–Navy, Air Force, Marines, etc. containing millions of enlisted men and women.

Don’t forget that Satan is an accomplished lair and mimic. This unholy alliance between he, his bastard son Alexander, and Judas is probably the best he can muster compared to the one true God. I suspect the reason he resurrects Judas is because, for one, Judas allowed himself to be possessed by Satan when he was alive (Luke 22:3; John 13:27). The other possibly being that Judas lived and walked with Jesus, and still rejected Him, so who knows what kind of manure he’ll try to sell people in order to convince them to follow Alexander?

      • That verse in John says satan entered judas. I’m assuming he means a lesser demon not satan himself? If he does come do you think his body is kept in the same condition as when he first was here if so wouldn’t his body be to damaged?

  13. It was Satan himself that possessed him. both Judas and Alexander the Antichrist are the only two people on record in Scripture that have been or will be possessed by him (Luke 22:3; John 13:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:9)

Interesting mention about the condition of his body. There is a prophecy regarding Judas’ future role found in Zechariah 11:15-17:

“And the Lord said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.

Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”

At some point, Judas’ right eye will become “darkened” and his right arm will wither up. It could possibly have something to do with the condition of Judas’ body when he is raised. Since “sword” is mentioned, they could also be war-inflicted injuries.

Alexander had a favorite seer by the name of Aristander whom he actually took into battle with him. Interestingly enough, Aristander worked under his human father Phillip and actually prophesied Alexander’s birth. Aristander interpreted dreams and omens–even on the battlefield–and often helped build up the morale of the Macedonian army.

It sounds to me like Judas will fulfill a similar role in the future. Note Revelation 16:13,14 where Judas, along with Alexander and Satan, call upon the help of frog-like demons to “rally the troops” per say.

If Alexander drags Judas along on campaigns, as he did with Aristander, chances are good he may sustain the injuries through warfare.

  14. Have you done any study on this khazaria thing with the Jews? I guess genetics is proving them not to be the ancestors of the land of Israel? I’m wondering if you had any thoughts on that. Seems to be a touchy subject with Christians. You mention the eye thing . Is there something to this one eye symbol in Hollywood and these men? Seems there might be one with that prophecy about those injury a judas or false prophet sustains. I know Islam because my father is Palestinian. And they have a antichrist with one eye called te dajjal.

    • There’s SOME truth to the Khazar conspiracy, as with any conspiracy theory.

There is evidence that these guys were nomadic Turks who fought against the Muslim hordes. They seemed to have a propensity for religious tolerance and allowed Jews to settle within their borders. After 740 AD, the Khazaria royal family converted to Judaism but it wasn’t as widespread as many assume as other religions continued to maintain their large communities of adherents.

According to legend, these Khazars became the Ashkenazi Jews which is where this theory goes off the rails.

There have been two separate genetic studies showing that the Jews in Europe maintained their genetic distinction from the local European populations:

      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC18733/?tool=pmcentrez

      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1274378/

Clearly the studies show the Ashkenazi Jews maintained their roots. They are descended from the Jews of Israel, not the Khazars of the Caucasus.

Ironically, this whole thing started with a Jew named Arthur Koestler. He wrote a book called the Thirteenth Tribe which advanced this claim that the Ashkenazi were of Turkic origin. He was trying to diffuse anti-Semitism, thinking that if he could posit that the Ashkenazi were not ethnic Jews, people would lay off them and stop labeling them “Christ-killers”.

The poor guy couldn’t foresee that his disproven theory would backfire on him and be co-opted by the very anti-Semites and white supremacists he was trying to thwart.

As for the one-eyed symbolism, I don’t think there’s much to it. Conspiracy theories are becoming more and more accepted these days, and I think perhaps a lot of these actors, singers, etc. are latching onto these gestures and symbols (made popular by conspiracy mongers) because they think it’s cool, edgy, and will keep them in the spotlight.

These celebs may have a point as some of their biggest promoters are, inadvertently, the so-called truth-seekers working day and night to “expose” them on various websites, Youtube, etc. You know what they say: there’s no such thing as bad publicity. If these supposed truth-seekers are actually interested in End Times truth, they should stick to studying and meditating on the Bible as opposed to worrying about what Lady Gaga or Katy Perry are doing.

The Koran borrows a lot from the Bible… the dajjal is but one aspect.

Another scary thing about Alexander is the fact that he is depicted with “two horns” in the Book of Daniel… otherwise known as the Dhul-Qarnayn in the Koran. Since the Koran borrows much from the Bible, they have the same idea–that the world will end and a divine being returns to bring judgement.

Muslim historians and commentators identity Alexander as the two-horned conqueror. Going by the Book of Daniel, it would suggest to Muslims that he was a forerunner of Muhammad–a divine prophet who will RETURN to UNITE the world. There are at least two coins that depicted him with the horns, one around 280 BC, the other after his death in 315 BC. As we know, Revelation 13:12 identifies Judas, who will be Alexander’s right hand, as having “two horns like a lamb”.

There’s even a legend concerning the Dhul-Qarnayn/Alexander where an angel named Israfel meets Alexander before he arrives in the “Land of Darkness” AKA the bottomless pit, AKA Hell (Revelation 17:8).

The angel blows a trumpet which announces the Day of Resurrection, or Islam’s version of the Rapture. He stands on the Holy Rock in Jerusalem and gives the signal to bring the dead to life. The legend also says this angel would announce the Last Judgement at the end of the world. Incidentally, the angel’s name, Israfel, means “burning one”.

According to the Koran, Allah gives the two-horned one dominion over the earth. Compare to Revelation 13:2,7.

Right now, we’re seeing a resurgence of Islam as a world religion and it is even spreading throughout Western culture. It’s helping to pave the way for Alexander as far as I’m concerned. Muslims will also be expecting a 12 Imam, a guy miraculously preserved in a well. Again, compare to Revelation 17:8.

I fear that many Mulsims won’t realize the level to which they have been deceived by the Koran–Satan’s counterfeit until Alexander appears resurrected.

I can only hope and pray that a good number of them will wise up and realize they’ve been fed a pack of lies when Alexander declares himself God, demands worship under penalty of death, discards ALL religion, including their Allah, and demands they take his mark as a sign of total allegiance to him.

      • Thank you for clearing that up about the Jews. I’ve been doing a lot of studying about the Kabbalah and the laws of the high priesthood during the time of Jesus. I knew that Islam had a connection one way or another there is way to much spiritual warfare going on. I hope they wake up too. And I’m sure it will be to late for many. Did you know they believe Nostradamus to them is a false prophet? Seems the more we study the more blatantly clear who the antichrist truly is. Thanks for expanding and helping me on these subjects I’m sure I would be clueless if you hadn’t.

      • You’re welcome.

One thing I’ll agree with the Muslims on is that if, as you say, the majority of them think Nostradamus is a false prophet then I’m right there with those folks.

For some reason, Nostradamus has earned a reputation as a Christian prophet, probably because he incorporates symbolism straight out of the Book of Revelation. Truth of the matter is, he was an Occultist. He used scrying rituals, the magical process of gazing into a black mirror, to obtain his prophecies.

From a practical standpoint, though he has been credited with predicting Napoleon, Hitler, WWII, and 9/11, Nostradamus prophecies are actually so vague that anybody can easily apply them to virtually any scenario they please. It’s as if they’re tailor suited for this purpose.

Granted, people do this with Bible prophecies as well but, for one, they’re not supposed to. The Bible is meant to be taken literally for the most part. If and when it does use symbolism, the meaning is often spelled out in subsequent verses, or can be gleaned from the context. When false teachers misapply Scripture to fit their ludicrous theories, they have to twist, distort, cherry pick, and take much out of context in order to to make it fit.

Another thing wrong with Nostradamus, and a sure sign that he is a false prophet, is that his prophecies are nothing but disaster and despair. Where’s the good news? There isn’t any, not according to him. On the other hand, while some of the worst calamities are found in Bible prophecy, in the end good will triumph over evil. There’s something decent to look forward to.

Lastly, in one of the few times Nostradamus was specific in his prophesizing he was dead wrong:

In the year 1999 and seven months,
From the sky will come the great King of Terror.
He will bring back to life the great king of the Mongols.
Before and after war rules happily.

Well, 1999 came and went, no king of terror coming from the sky, no resurrection of Ghengis Khan, founder of the Mongol empire.

That right there is enough to disqualify Nostradamus as a reliable source. As you know, true prophets ALWAYS get it right (Deuteronomy 18:20-22; Jeremiah 28:9; Ephesians 4:11-13).

  15. I always thought there was a connection between the eye of authority which is expanded on in 1984 and other hollywood movies with the same theme symbolizing a police state. I’m not so sure if it is just something they do.there isn’t anything in scripture about it really . But if you read the books of these new age thinkers they all seem to be state oriented. And without a shed of doubt I’m sure Alexander will use this technology to his advantage to steal kill and destroy.

    • Scripture doesn’t say, so I don’t know for sure. We don’t even know if such technology will even be available.

Keep in mind that when Tribulation hits, the world we know is going to be completely razed.

During the Rapture and throughout the subsequent Tribulation, the world will be rearranged by massive global quakes (Isaiah 2:21; 24:1, 18-20; Revelation 6:14). Isaiah speaks of the earth’s axis tilting, causing changes to the earth’s geography. Continents will once again be amalgamated into one gigantic land mass over the course of the Tribulation, just as it was in the days of Genesis before the land was divided (Genesis 1:9; 10:25).

One third of the the earth with be scorched by fire (Revelation 8:7). This is overlooked in most English translations, but it’s there in the original Greek.

Revelation 8 speaks of what sounds like nuclear war, with “blazing stars” going off and one third of ships (presumably warships) being destroyed. One third of the sea turns to blood, and one third of sea creatures are wiped out. As a result, one third of drinking water is contaminated.

As if that weren’t bad enough, there’s a demonic invasion of earth from the Abyss (hell) where demons torment mankind (except for the 144,000) with scorpion-like stings for five months. During this period, the pain will be so excruciating that men will want commit suicide die, but they cannot die, no matter what they do (Revelation 9:1-10).

Then WMD missiles are launched out of the Euphrates region that wipes out one third of mankind (Revelation 9:14-19).

This is why there’s never any mention of superpowers such as the United States, Russia, and China, or even would-be superpowers such as India and Brazil, in End Times prophecy. This is why the only countries these prophecies focus on are the ones in and around the Mediterranean basin. This region will be mostly unscathed. Incidentally, this is happens to be the region where the Antichrist and his 10 kings will be headquartered, thus the removal of the current world’s superpowers will undoubtedly create a power vacuum that he will gladly fill.

For the record: the USA, China, and Russia won’t be completely annihilated (well, Russia won’t be for another 1,000 years until Gog Magog) but these countries will definitely be knocked down a peg or two, or three.

This is also why theories about a nebulous New World Order are a waste of time. First off, nothing is being prepared for Antichrist… he simply seizes control of what’s left, and most wicked people will turn to him out of desperation because they fear the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (Psalms 2:1-3,8-12). He even has to bring several countries and regions to heel before his conquest of Jerusalem, namely Egypt (king of the south) Syria and/or Turkey (king of the north), Iran, Iraq, and Libya (Daniel chapter 8; 11:40, 43). Second, though I personally doubt the existence of a New World Order, especially on the grand scale imagined by conspiracy theorists, its existence doesn’t even matter because Scripture tells us that the world as we know it, including its various forms of government, secret or otherwise, are going bye-bye (Haggai 2:20-23).

With all that said, this is why I don’t incorporate End Times prophecies touting widespread Big Brother spy technology, or the Mark of the Beast being a microchip.

While the use of technology may be possible, perhaps depending the region its implemented in, like say a first world society as opposed to a third world hellhole, I find it largely unlikely based on the unprecedented level of destruction the world will endure.

  16. Have you done research about the moonchild? It’s a consistant thing I’ve run into with my study of alister crowley and what he tried to do. There might be something there I thought because of revelation 12:1 . From what I got out of that passage was the woman or the church of the true God being clothes in the son of God which I assume the holy spirit being chased by the dragon which I assume Satan and his counterfeit faith till they are caught up in the clouds which I assume the rapture. But there is something about this woman having supiriority over the moon which is at her feet. I’m assuming that’s the moonchild or antichrist or from what your saying Alexander the great is there something there or is it all rubbish about a moonchild?

    • I wouldn’t put much stock into what Occultists believe.

From what I know about the Babalon Working ceremony to produce the Moonchild, those involved the the ritual were a bunch of demented bumblers who not only predictably failed to conceive this being, they also ended up screwing each other over. Crowley disavowed himself of this nonsense and he would go on to die a broken man in a boarding home.

Worrying about what losers such as these are doing, while slightly amusing, is an overall waste of time.

Just stick with studying the Bible.

Anyway, the woman is actually dual symbolism. She represents both “spiritual” and “physical” Israel.

Spiritual Israel is the Church, clothed in the sun which, yes, represents God’s Glory. She also bears the crown of 12 stars which represents the 12 apostles (Revelation 21:10-14).

Physical Israel, naturally, is the ethnic one that stays behind on earth, hence the moon at the woman’s feet. In this case, the 12 stars represent the 12 tribes (Revelation 21:10-14).

In verse 5 we see the woman give birth to the Body of Christ and are told that it is “caught up” or harpazo in the original Greek–same word used in 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17–or in modern nomenclature, Raptured up to God’s Throne.

Basically, Satan gets kicked out of heaven about the same time the Church is Raptured around the beginning of Tribulation. We go up, he comes down. Seeing that he can’t accuse the Church before God anymore, an angry Satan turns his sights on persecuting Israel.

That’s why he raises Antichrist/Alexander the Great, the False Prophet/Judas Iscariot, unites 10 kings over territories that used to be part the Roman Empire (parts of Europe, Africa, and Middle East), and seizes Jerusalem.

  17. What does the bible say about what’s going on in Russia and Ukraine today? Does it have anything to do with this world war in revelations? It seems like it leading to something big. Who are the two witnesses of revelation? Does the bible give any clues who these individuals may be? There seems to be a lot of speculation who they are to most Christians I ask. I’m tempted on thinking that one of them is Elijah just because of Jesus having the two other prophets with him because of that passage about Jesus transfiguration .

    • Of they could just be angels. Because like you said only two people in human history won’t be excepted by the grave the antichrist and false prophet and come back till there Apointed time. But if they were angels how can they die and be killed and be raised from the dead in front of the masses days later?

      • Yeah, the Bible doesn’t say anything about the two witnesses being angels. This when there will be actual angels roaming the earth, preaching the Gospel even (Revelation 14:6).

    • It’s possible.

Revelation 8 speaks of what sounds like a nuclear conflict with one third of ships being destroyed and a “blazing star” falling into the waters, poisoning them.

This does happen almost immediately after the Rapture when Christ makes His presence to the world and takes up His Church. This is also when the face of the earth is changed and the continents begin to merge into one as a result of the global quake (Isaiah 2:21; 24:1, 18-20; Acts 3:21; Revelation 6:14).

With tensions between nations being what they are today, I can only imagine what affect such supernatural events would have on those left behind. The Rapture and all the prior signs might be enough to push things over the edge.

I can also imagine how certain nations like Iran or North Korea would feel if they realized there’s no longer miles of ocean between them and a severely weakened United States.

Since End Times prophecy makes no mention of the United States, Russia, or China, most likely these nations will do each other in, or be severely wracked by God’s judgements, or a combination thereof. The only nations left standing mostly unscathed will be those in and around the Mediterranean.

As for the two witnesses, the Bible doesn’t come right out and say who these guys are, but clues point to Moses and Elijah.

Everyone agrees on Elijah. Most overlook Moses in favor of Enoch for some reason. They seem to be under the false assumption that, since E was Raptured, he must return to die in fulfillment of Hebrews 9:27. Problem is, Hebrews is just talking the general rule of thumb for our mortal existence, not some inflexible rule. If it were inexorable, it would contradict what is written about the Antichrist and False Prophet being men who return from the grave. It would also contradict the Rapture we believers are looking forward to. When we come back to earth, is Jesus going to have all us Raptured believers line up to be put to death and then brought back again in fulfillment of Hebrews 9:27? Of course not.

The reason Moses is a better fit is because he, like Elijah did many wonders. Since the Two Witnesses are connected to the rebuilding of the temple (Zechariah 4:6-14; Revelation 11:1-3), Moses would be a good fit since he knows the plans (Exodus 25:9).

Moses and Elijah seem to be associated with one another, even appearing together at Jesus’ Transfiguration (Malachi 4:4-5; Matthew 17:1-4; Mark 9:4; Luke 9:30).

The miracles mentioned in Revelation 11:5-6 are specific to each witness. Elijah shut up the sky so it wouldn’t rain, Moses turned water into blood and dispatched plagues to harry the wicked.

    • I should also add that the situation involving Russia and Ukraine, Russia and the US and EU, China and Japan, North Korea and it’s neighbors, etc. all fall under the “wars and rumors of wars” category mentioned in Matthew 24.

These are among the signs that signal the coming Rapture. Jesus implies that these wars and rumors of such will happen simultaneously and increase in frequency, along with the other signs He mentioned (deception in His name, earthquakes, uprisings and revolution, disease, famine, etc.).

    • I don’t really understand that passage . And why do some believe that homosexuality runs a lot in the bible and bi sexuality? Ive been reading there are Christians that believe some of the prophets were not straight because the words meant diffrently back then and I read something that said davids love for jonathon surpased the love of a women. Can you explain. For face value it seemed convincing but it didn’t make sence to me with other statements on homosexuality.

    • Jesus took John, Peter, and James up to a mountain where He showed them His glorified body in what was basically a preview of what’s coming to all believers come Rapture time.

We’ll all likewise be given new glorified, immortal bodies just like our Lord and Savior.

  18. i found some interesting stuff between the tribe of dan one of the lost tribes isreal and the marovingian illuminati bloodlines of europe and the americas that may or may not have a connection. im related to john adams who you may or may not know was a marovingian. before they were called marovingians they were a lose group of bloodlines with different names from all over the known roman empire some kings others queens. as you know the royal family of england like william is apart of this line even obama. but as i studied further i found connections with cleopatra of egypt and even alexander the great who is also part of this same line. when i looked into his mothers snake worship i stumbled upon a lineage line going back to possibly to the lost tribe of dan which most people believe went to europe and specifically greece. the coat of arms of this lost tribe was a snake i found it really odd knowing about alexanders mother and her snake fasination and her dealings with dark magic and further study into the tribe of dan and there image worship, necromancy, and dark magic. it seems from studying this it further explains exactly what you were saying and then some. i do have a question tho when it refers to the angel of the lord is it actually saying the angel of the lord is jesus christ? if thats so and the accounts with exodus, zechariah, judges, samuel and your explaining of the book of daniel with the seals and jesus being present there before his time would that mean that jesus is not only part of the God head but is a angel in his kingdom as well who is omnipresent and the physical representation of God on earth? he did say if you see me you see the father.
